This morning, Wy-man decided it would be a great idea to wake up at 5:50 and try snuggling in our bed.
This morning, I made the decision to give in (as I love the cuddle time).
This morning, Wy-man snuggled up next to me...and tooted.
This morning, he responded with a "WHOA, toot!"
This morning, was his first realization of what action just took place.
This morning, he broke out in excitement and proceed to exclaim proudly, "Wyatt toot! Wyatt toot!"
This morning, I realized it is the little things like this can easily be taken for granted (no matter how icky they might be).
And this morning, it was reaffirmed why I love being a mom to this wonderfully innocent little boy!

Easy Cheese for Dinner?!
Wy-man and I enjoyed your evening together while Dad-d had a work dinner to attend. So I took the opportunity to get out and enjoy the nice weather before it's too late. And against my best motherly judgement, Wy-man and I had an apples and crackers with easy cheese picnic for dinner!
I remember loving Easy Cheese as a kid so why not share that with him. We had a blast..."Trying" to squeeze the cheese...
Eating the yummy goodness...
Putting the lid on after every use...(he must have learned this habit from his dad-d) Sucking the cheese off each cracker...
We worked on our letters.... (W - for Wyatt) Ate more crackers...
Texted on mama's cell phone...
Finally ate some apples...
Rode his Spiderman car for a while...(Don't worry...the battery is almost dead otherwise I wouldn't let him get on without a helmet.)
And showed off his cheezy face... (Not too messy for an Easy Cheese dinner, huh?!)
My lil' Cowboy!

Naked Boy
Tonight's Mama Moment was captured right before bathtime.
Somehow Wy-man escaped...and this is what I caught him doing. I will let the picture speak for itself!

Summer Nights...
Summer nights are coming to an end so Wy-man and I took advantage of the nice weather while Dad-D was working late. We had a fun evening playing in the front yard with sidewalk chalk and his bubble mower.
And I can't resist this image...I just LOVE little boys with their shirts off and their diapers showing! I love watching my baby grow into a sweet young boy and witnessing him learn is amazing. He loves to play and that was evident tonight. I had to capture these moments while I can, as he will be 3 before I know it.
Man I love being a mom and will cherish these small memories for the rest of my life!He means business when he runs...
I was drawing around his feet so he wanted to draw around mine...except he kept drawing on them. And before we could call it a night, he had to bust out his bubble mower and make a couple laps around the driveway.

Dad-D's Marathon!
Today was the big day...Dad-d's Marathon!
Wy-man and I were up early to support Dad-d the entire way!
This was our first stop - Mile 9.
Our next stop - Mile 17. Wy-man enjoyed some time with people from Dad-d's work.
Chloe was so sweet - she shared fruit snacks and her computer with Wy-man.
He had a blast at this stop!
Mile 22 - Wy-man couldn't wait to hand Dad-d his Gatorade!
(Can you tell he was tired of me trying to take our photo together?) ;-) At the finish line with Papa trying to spot Dad-d!
At the finish line!!! Way to go Dad-d!
At the finish line!!! Way to go Dad-d!
Wanting a drink of Dad-d's water...then trying to help dad-d drink too! We had special shirts made just for the occasion...Run Dad-d Run!! We are so proud of you.
Can't you tell?! Wyatt wants to be just like his dad!
I can't wait for the day that Wyatt grabs dad-d's hand and runs to the finish line with him.
Thank you Dad-d for inspiraing me everyday!

Rare Form
Today was a day FULL of Mama's Moments as Wy-man was in rare form. Here's a little recap of the night:
1. Making Cookies: After eating dinner it was time to make cookies for church this weekend, so I asked Wy-man if he wanted to help. He went straight to the fridge, opened it up and pulled out the package of eggs. Where did he know this? I don't think I have baked cookies in the last 6 months. I was sure impressed that he knew eggs were for baking cookies.
Little did I know he would want to hold the egg. I decided...'Ah, what could it hurt? He will be careful since I am standing right here.' That was a stupid thought on my part. Within the first minute of holding the egg, Wyatt slipped on his chair, crushed his egg in his hand and was hanging on to the counter top for dear life. He got egg all over the floor, the rug, the cabinet, my socks and himself...but I was proud of myself as I was able to laugh it off. (And so was Dad-d. And for those of you that know Mike and know what a clean freak he is, his ability to laugh it off AND let me clean it up without recleaning is monumental!)
Here are a few photos of our cooking adventure. We had a lot of fun and the cookies turned out great. At the end he wanted to lick the spatula and while I know I shouldn't let him do it due to the raw egg, I wiped most of the dough off so he could still have fun. And too bad I never have my good camera around when I want to document an event...my cell phone was close by so I was at least able to snap a few...so these will have to do.
Now, it's time for bed and this is when the real fun began...
2. Boogers: He's laying in his toddler bed (not wanting to fall asleep mind you) and trying everything to get me to talk to him. He sits up in bed and yells, "Eeewww! What is this?! (long pause) BOOGER!" But being the clean kid that he is (he takes after dad-d), he had to have his hand cleaned off since he can only have his hands dirty for a couple seconds before he needs a 'napkin.'
3. Mama's Phone: His next attempt to get out of bed was pretty clever if you ask me. Once again setting up in bed he says, "Mama, your phone reenin. I get it!" and proceeds to try and climb out of bed. I calmly put him back into bed as I was trying so hard to hold in my laughter. I have to give him credit for being so inventive! Already at the age of 2...really?!
4. "Tant Tu Mama": He thought he should have one more run at refusing bedtime so he tried to bribe me with his horsie. By this time he was super tired but totally fighting it...so he lifts his head, pushes the horsie over the side of the bed (as that is where I lay to try and keep him from crawling out of his bed), and proceeds to say, "Tant tu, mama!" I decided it was best to lay there in silence as maybe he would think I was asleep. Disgusted that I didn't respond to him he sighed, put his head down with a thud and with total attitude said, "You're Welcome!" And it was at that point that he was finally down for the count.
Wy-man sure brings such joy to my life but he is going to give us a run for our money. Hopefully we are ready!

Augie's Kickoff Kid
Today was Wy-man's big day. He was chosen to be the Sanford Kickoff Kid at Augie's first home game. He would get to bring the game ball out to the refs.
I must admit I was a little nervous because he had to miss his nap in order to be there. We all know what happens when a child misses their nap. But, Wyatt made us proud...the captains even tried to get him to walk with them, but Wy was a little too slow.
Then, the ref thought he could hold Wyatt's hand and it was at that time that Wy-man thought it would be best if Mama would hold him. So I tried too look like I knew what I was doing...even though I didn't.
It was a great time and a great memory for the family. I put together a collage of some of the photos.

Then Wy-man wanted to see 'HIS Viking." So we couldn't leave until we were able to take a photo. While we ended up capturing a good photo (which I put in the collage), I think this photo says it all. Nothing like a 2 year old picking his nose while standing next to a large mascot. Wyatt's face is priceless!

My Photogenic Little Man
I love having photos taken of Wyatt and was able to create a photo book of all the images that we recently had taken.
He is growing up to be such a handsome little fella. (Or at least his mama this so.)
